On January 23, at the Mario’s Osteria Restaurant in Boca Raton, Jafco hosted it’s 2nd Annual Dream Lounge Event.
More than 285 people gathered in support of the event, where the evening cocktail party raised $103,000 and helped deliver dreams to abused and neglected children and children with developmental disabilities in South Florida. See more here
And more recently Jafco hosted a gathering to nominate the “Woman of the Year” which will be celebrated at their official “14th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon” to take place May 5 at Boca West Country Club, 20583 Boca West Drive. Read the full Sun-Sentinel article here
Mark Butters, who leads the Construction division at Butters Group, along with his wife Marcie Butters were in attendance at both events and are big supporters of Jafco’s efforts.
A little bit about JAFCO– Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization established in 1992 to provide services to abused and neglected children in South Florida.
JAFCO currently provides an entire continuum of programs and services for at-risk children and children with developmental disabilities and their families at both our Children’s Village and Ability Center sites including:
- Children’s Emergency Shelter
- Group Home Program
- Foster Care and Adoption
