Butters is a privately held, real estate firm, engaged in the construction, development, investment, property management and leasing of industrial, office, and retail properties. The Butters organization has consistently ranked among the most active commercial contractors, developers, and real estate brokerage companies, in South Florida, over the past decade. The Butters family has been headquartered in South Florida for the past 34 years. Butters has won the National Association of Industrial and Office Property’s South Florida Chapter “Developer of the Year” award seven times and 2023 NAIOP Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, as well as being inducted into the Florida International University, Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.

Malcolm Butters (CEO)

Malcolm has been active in South Florida Real Estate for over 30 years. He has a Masters Degree in Real Estate from Florida International University and a Bachelor in Finance from the University of Miami, and has previously worked in the real estate investment division of Travelers Insurance. Butters is active in NAIOP and in BOMA. See our awards page. Butters’ current portfolio of owned and managed properties total approximately 3 million square feet, which is comprised of office, industrial, and retail facilities. Properties owned range from Atlanta, to Miami, Florida. All construction is performed in house with Butters superintendents and project managers. Technology is an important aspect to the Butters Group. Butters uses the most current version of Yardi Software and M.R.I. for property management and Timberline Software for construction management.
